Eva, that was name of an exemplary student in one of best senior high school in a city. Though she was a clever student, she was a cheerful and humble. Then no wonder she was so well-liked and had so many friends. Despite she had so many friends, she remained loyal to her bestfriend, the bestfriend named Ririka. Her chubby cheeks with some acnes, fat body, black mane ponytailed, and her eyeglasses became identify of Eva to people around her, till she was nicknamed “tow truck” or sometimes “walking fat”. In one side, she felt funny of those nicknames, but in another side she was kinda insecure of her physichal because of the nicknames.

Since school orientation, she had a crush on someone, named Matthias. Matthias was her senior, he was a member of student council, and a basketball captain in their school. No wonder that handsome boy was so popular so that many girls dreamed him as their boyfriend, included Eva.

One day, Eva gave Matthias a chocolate cake after school. Matthias rejected  her but Eva still gave it, she asked him to accept the cake just sign of friendship. “DIDN’T YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE TOO SHABBY??!!... LOOK AT TO YOURSELF BEFORE!!..HOW FOOL YOU LOOK!!...” growled Matthias. How piercing those words were. He immediatelly pulled away that girl’s hands till the cake dropped, Matthias just walked away. Her tears was slowly flowing down her cheeks while she was saying,”A..am I too ugly?...w..why did he say it?... I have already guessed....”

Suddenly, a feminime voice called her name,”Evaaa...”, that was Ririka. How shocked Ririka was! She saw Eva was crying while tidying up the fallen cake. “What’s going on??” asked Ririka, Eva was just silent. Ririka saw Matthias from far, apparently he was still not too far from where they were. Ririka understood what happened, she took Eva to her house.

Arrived in Eva’s bedroom, Ririka asked her to tell what happened. Eva told what happened, everything was as expected. “He is 10 whereas I’m nothing! I know I’m not pretty at all...a lot of people seldom call me ‘tow truck’ and ‘walking fat’. At first, I felt those are funny...but..I’ve seen how perfect he is compared to my physique, I feel like... I'm too ‘nothing’...I..I don't deserve him. To be honest, all this time I have always wanted to forget this with a laugh, I thought it would be easy, but it turns out it was so difficult. not just for him, maybe even I am inappropriate for anyone. I wish I’m a pretty girl!... It’s my mistake for always hiding this, Ririka,” Eva continued honestly. “O...okay, no problem..so.. listen to me,  I know you have tried to don’t too care about it...I just wanna say, whatever we are, we were created by the same God...so you should grateful for it... you also must care about yourself. Yourself is precious more than you know,...so that don’t give your care if someone tries to insult you...just be yourself,” responded Ririka optimistically. Eva realized and she said,”So, do you mind that I can?”.”Sure, why not? I know you can be yourself that I know,” said Ririka which pleased Eva. Eva smiled and grateful she had a bestfriend like Ririka. Eva began to think that she was too inappropriate to be treated arbitrarily by other people just because of her physical appearance, included Matthias.

After that day, Eva turned to be herself again, but with a new appearance. She began to know about skincare and work out, of course thanks to her bestfriend, Ririka. Eva looked more confident with “the new herself”, with the same personality but more positive vibe.
