Task 6 : Coursera - Module 3

Hello readers! Long time no see! I'm sorry being late because of a lot of things that I should do. So, today I'm gonna tell you my experience doing Coursera in third module.

So, the third module focuses on email etiquette. This is a picture of some sub-material in this lesson.

Email is a very important part of business communication. And in this module, I learned about writing effective & professional emails, how to write subject lines, how to choose the appropriate tone, and finally how to start off and end an email.

I did the first quiz in this lesson, this was about subject line. I got score 80%.

I did the second quiz, that was about email greetings.
This lesson taught me what greeting I will use, it depends on who I'm writing to and my relationship to that person. So, I should use Mr. for a man and Ms. for a woman. If I know the person’s name and want to be less formal, I can use the first name. When I reply to an email and the other person uses their first name in the closing, I can use the first name in my greeting. However, I remember not to use Mr. or Ms. with a first name. Unlike a letter, I don’t need to use "dear". It’s okay to use just the family name with "Mr." or "Ms.", or the first name. If I want to be friendlier to someone I know, just use "hi" and the first name.

This is a picture of my forth quiz, it was about formal and informal email in business setting. To sound more formal, use another verb instead of a phrasal verb. For example, there is a phrasal verb "talk about", and the verb "discuss." Both of them have the same meaning, that is "to speak about a topic or subject with other people, by sharing ideas, opinions, or information." But they have different context, which the formal one is "discuss."

This is a picture of my last quiz in this module, it was about building a right email. In this quiz, I chose the right answer to build the full formal email. I got 83%

From the first until the third module, I think this is the best module I have learned. The explanation was  the clearest in this subject and I've felt the peak of this subject by learning the third module - building the right email. Instead of only watching video, I think it was better if I did a right email by doing a quiz.

That's all about my experience in Coursera. Thank you guys for following me from the first module until this last module. Once again, that's my mistake for being late doing this blog, but I hope you all guys will read this blog ✌
